Penguins take the "PB Plunge" with 220 PBs and 36 Sweeps! Congratulations Penguins on a great job at today's 3rd Annual Penguin Plunge! PB Sweeps in the Morning Session were swimmers Morgan Bowden, Maria Fenters, Kayla Frea, Colleen Jaycox, Austin Limbert, Abigail Lyons, Gerik Melvin, Melissa Pax, Meghan Pollner, Landon Reamer, Corey Uehlein, Katie Woskobnick and Alexa Zardus. PB Sweeps in the Afternoon Session were swimmers Ali Anderson, Ella Basile, Hannah Beavers, Ally Braun, Anastasia Cox, Macy Fearon, Chloe Feyh, Sydney Limbert, Bonnie Guo, Jason Guo, Jared Helmlinger, Luke Jaycox, Justine Kenny, Cameron Kuriger, Winston Kuriger, RJ LaRosa, Sydney Limbert, Jennifer Ochall, Ben Paull, Davis Pulsipher, Tyler Rosselli, Carson Van Farowe, Holly vanderLans, and Emily Ziliak. Penguin High Point Winners were Julia St John (8 & Under Girls), Erin Groves (11-12 Girls), Jon-Erik Reamer (11-12 Boys) and Nick Scarpitti (15-18 Boys). Penguin "PB" Fest over the weekend ... 154 PBs at the Hilliard Meet and 76 PBs at MAKOS! There were 29 PB Sweeps at the Hilliard meet: Ben Kuriger, Preston Kuriger, Lillee LaRosa, Taylor Limbert, Meara Marker, Joe McConaghy, Kirsten Mead, Paige Noppenberger, Melissa Pax, Lauren Perry, Julia Pinciotti, Meghan Pollner, Haley Banner, Hannah Beavers, John Bently, Colby Brothers, Anastasia Cox, Ingrid Deng, Macy Fearon, Maria Fenters, Hayden Frea, Carly Frea, Katie Gallagher, Daria Hartung, Wyatt Hofer, Mackenzie Jackson, Hannah Smilges, Marisa Sulek and Emily Ziliak. Penguin Swimmers swim F-A-S-T at the FAST (Fishers Area Swim Team) Santa Claus Classic in Indy! Over the weekend, 15 USA swimmers competed in the Santa Claus Classic in Indy and swam a total of 71 PBs! Three swimmers SWEPT EVERY ONE OF THEIR EVENTS OVER THE WEEKEND – Peter DiMaggio (6 PBs), Samantha Lennon (6 PBs) and Alicia Margello (7 PBs). Sweeps on Saturday were Sarah Paull (3) and Julia St John (5). Sweeps on Sunday were Joy Wharton (3), Matthew Lennon (3), Noelle St John (4) and Abigail Weis (3). Julia St John was the 8 & Under Girls High Point Winner! Julia also set 9 team records for the 8 & Under Girls; Matthew Lennon broke the 13-14 Boys 100 Free and Nick Scarpitti broke his own record in the 15-18 Boys 50 Free. The winner will be announced in the coming weeks and the swimmer's age group will celebrate with a 1,000th PB Party, but until the name of the swimmer is announced, check the website for clues ... Clue # 1: More than half of the Penguin swimmers in the event swam a PB in that event! Clue # 2: The PB was more than 1 second! Clue # 3: The 1,000th PB swimmer has the letter "A" in their name. Clue # 4: The birth announcement for most of our swimmers and coaches included this message ... IT'S A GIRL! Clue # 5: The lucky Penguin was born on an "odd" day... 25th Clue # 6: The winner was Samantha Lennon, 11-12 Age Group! 11/15/08 HOME MEET RESULTS -- There were a number of highlights at our Home Meet including our 1,000th PB of the season. The swimmers swam a total of 263 PBs which took us over 1,000 for the season. There were a total of 145 PBs over the weekend and PB Sweeps were accomplished by Oliva Bently, Quentin Bowden, Macy Fearon (2), Jordan Forest (2), Ali Gaiss, Abbigale Newman (2), Caroline Racke (2), Michael Racke (2), Jon-Erik Reamer (3) and Emily Ziliak. Four Penguin swimmers were High Point Winners: Julia St John (8 & Under Girls); Abbigale Newman (9-10 Girls); Erin Groves (11-12 Girls) and John Smilges (13-14 Boys).Top Teams at Lancaster were LCFY 1st; LTPY 2nd; and HURY 3rd. There were "19" PB Sweeps ... There were a total of 91 PBs over the weekend and PB Sweeps were accomplished as follows: GREAT JOB PENGUINS at the LCFY Shark Invitational and a FIRST PLACE FINISH! PENGUINS "WOW" EVERYONE AT LANCASTER WITH 98 PBs!
