Welcome to the Otters
"WELCOME" To the new members of our "OTTER FAMILY" We truly think of ourselves as a family in many ways. Those of you who have been involved with the team for many years have watched our OTTERS grow up together and form strong friendships that parallel the closeness of brothers and sisters. We hope that all new swimmers will be able to grow into similar friendships that will endure the test of time. One of the wonderful aspects of the OTTERS is that a swimmer can compete on the same team from the eight and under age group through their high school years. This gives the OTTER parents and coaches a unique opportunity to get to really know these kids and their families in a very special way. When you sign up with the OYSTER RIVER OTTERS, not only is your swimmer signed up, but the whole family as well. We try as a team to include siblings, parents, and alumni in various team activities both in and out of the water. Part of the reason we become so close to these kids is that a swim team requires a great deal of parent involvement and commitment, more than many other sports. It takes the cooperation of each and every parent to make this team work. Please be patient and cooperative with those who ask for help this season, and with the many who give generously of their time to help keep the team running.
